Housing Assistance in Southwest Florida
If you are living with, or in remission from, a substance use disorder and at risk of losing stable housing, you may qualify for help with rent, mortgage, utilities, or move-in costs.

What This Assistance Covers
These funds are designated for housing support and items directly related to safe, stable housing for people in recovery. Assistance may help with past-due rent or mortgage payments, utility bills, or move-in costs such as security deposits, first and last month's rent, furniture, and household supplies. Funds are available monthly, and assistance depends on what is currently available.
This assistance is for Floridians living with a substance use disorder (SUD) or in remission from an opioid use disorder (OUD). Specifically, it is meant to:
These funds are time-limited and are meant to supplement, not replace, other state or local funds used to start, maintain, or expand recovery housing and housing support services.
Financial Assistance Eligibility
At this time, only residents of Manatee, Sarasota, Hendry, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier counties are eligible for this funding.
Documents Needed to Apply
Copies of the following will be required. We can't approve or continue your application without them.
A photo ID (driver's license or state ID), or a voter registration card, showing your age and Florida residency.
A letter from a licensed treatment provider, recovery center, medical professional, peer support specialist, or probation officer.
A copy of your utility bill, lease with an eviction or past-due notice, or mortgage statement, whichever applies to your request.
No clinical diagnosis, medical records, or detailed personal history is required for proof of SUD/OUD status. Uploading incorrect, incomplete, or unrelated documents will result in automatic withdrawal of your application.
