What Is Day Treatment (PHP)?
Day treatment is structured, intensive outpatient care that meets during the day, Monday through Friday. You attend programming at our Fort Myers center and go home each evening.
You may see it called a Partial Hospitalization Program, or PHP. At Sprout Recovery, these are the same program. Different name, same care.
What day treatment includes:
- Daily clinical programming, Monday through Friday
- Individual therapy and clinician-led group sessions
- Medication management by a board-certified psychiatrist
- Access to Neurofeedback
- Family and couples counseling
- A treatment plan built from your assessment and adjusted as you go
Day Treatment/PHP vs. Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
| Day Treatment (PHP) | IOP | |
|---|---|---|
| When | 5 days a week, 4 to 6 hours a day | Fewer days, fewer hours, evening options |
| Intensity | Our most intensive level | Structured, lighter commitment |
| Best for | Daily clinical support, or stepping down from inpatient care elsewhere | Treatment that fits around work, school, and family |
| Live at home? | Yes | Yes |
Many clients step down from day treatment into IOP as they stabilize. Others start directly in IOP. The assessment tells us which one fits.

This place saved my life and really helped me transition into a healthier lifestyle. The compassion and care, coping skills and the different approach to mental health and substance abuse has changed me! I can now live the life with my authentic self! I was in one of the lowest places and the staff loved me and had a different approach with neurofeedback and TMS to provide me with the best care. I would have died without this facility and now I am thriving. I have been to many treatment facilities and this was by far the most holistic care and treatment. They approach depression, anxiety and cognitive behavioral therapy in an advanced style. Ther aren’t words to express how much they truly changed my life! I thank you Zion! You are by far the most amazing healing place!!!!

I haven’t received treatment from Zion Healing Center but called to get information on the TMS that they offer. I spoke to Kaitlyn and let me tell you. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all my questions. She didn’t push for me to make an appointment and called a week after to check up on me. Very caring. She is top notch. Thanks for all your help.

I want to share my experience. I am a 63 year old man and had suffered depression for over 40 years off and on. I tried medicines, years of talk therapy. I got covid in Nov. 2020. I almost died. I missed 31 days of work and actually went back to early but I was worried I would lose my job. The reason I tell the story of Covid 19 is because I have been through hell for 3 1/2 years now. I am a covid long hauler and if you dont know what that is, it is what happens to 10 to 20% of the people that catch covid and survive. My depression came back 10 times worse then the other past 40 years. I was and still have so many medical issues and NO doctors will help me. Now back to Dec 2023. I never told anyone how bad my depression had gotten since covid. I started looking for help online and I saw a add on FB for Zion healing center. I told myself that if I didn’t try to get help who knows what I would do. I went in for my consultation and after asking questions about what services they do I didn’t even think about it, I signed up that day. I started my NeuroStar treatments that Friday. I had signed up for the 36 treatment plan. Going every Monday through Friday like they recommended. The first week I didn’t notice much. But after week 2 and 3. I noticed a big change. My feelings of wanting to fall asleep and not wake up started to change.

There is a warm and comfortable atmosphere that puts you at ease from the moment you walk in. During my initial appointment, the staff listened to me without judgment and went over all the services & we created a plan that would best support me. I’m grateful for their kindness and professionalism. I recommend trying the neurofeedback, it helped relieve my anxiety

Day Treatment FAQs - PHP Program in Fort Myers, FL
Is day treatment the same as PHP?
Yes. Partial Hospitalization Program, or PHP, is the clinical term. Day treatment is what most people call it. At Sprout Recovery, they are the same program.
How is day treatment different from IOP?
Day treatment is our most intensive level, meeting during the day on weekdays. IOP meets fewer hours and fewer days, with evening options, so it fits around a job or school. Many clients step down from day treatment into IOP.
Do I stay overnight?
No. Day treatment is an outpatient program. You attend during the day and go home in the evening, or to our supportive recovery housing if you are using it.
Can I work during day treatment?
It is a weekday daytime commitment, so full-time work is difficult. If keeping your job is essential, ask our team about IOP, which is built for exactly that.
Do you offer detox or residential care?
No. We are an outpatient center. If you need detox first, call us, and we will point you toward a trusted provider, then welcome you when you are ready.
